Just seen this advertised on the Auto trader website, cant seem to get the picture up on here, but looked good value,History etc, colour is stunning but i guess if you are going to have a lambo it needs to be in a wild colour!!! Still prefer Jonny 5's

that's a nice looking car. has anyone driven an sv or any other diablo back to back with 6ltr? other than the interior being superior does the car feel much different to drive? i have never seen any test figures on the 6ltr, unlike all the other diablo models which were tested fully by mags like autocar.

Yeah I've had both at the same time (6.0VT and a 5.7VT). Build quality and detailing on the 6.0 is improved. Differences to drive I find the earlier cars much more kart like in driveabilty, but the 6.0s have much more grip and feel more torquey almost more of a GT version of the earlier cars. I havent driven an SV yet to throw that model into the mix.
With regards to the SV compared to VT, the VT feels heavier, has less direct steering feel, and will understeer alot more than a SV. Sv also feels more eager, and you can manipulate the weight alot more.
It also performs better under braking, sounds better thanks to all the scoops that surround you, and is quite a bit quicker mid range.
A well sorted SV (530 bhp, 1997 onwards) will stay with a Murcielago once up and running.
Mind you, put a sports exhaust on a Murcielago, and then you need an Enzo to see which way it went.
Cheers,
Ruttboy.

alan do you mean with decat pipes or just the sport exhaust? i have sport ex with cats not sure if that gives much extra hp, the americans talk about plus 40bhp removing cats on any diablo. iv'e been toying with this plan a while now.
i guess you have driven all versions, do you have a favourite? gt? 6ltr close ratio?

Andy,
Talking about removing all cats from the car, and yes, you do get a large jump in performance, not just from BHP, but also from the weight saving.
My personal favourite Diablo is the GT, just for the fact that it is an SV on steriods, but the 6.0 isn't far behind.
And as for my comments on Enzo beating performance from a Murcielago, I am talking about real world usability, not top speed.
Look at every acceleration test, both 6.2 and LP640 to see what I mean.
Andy, is you car still as perfect as when I last saw it?
I hope you are well,
Regards,
Alan.

Tim, as i live near you (well, same town, which isn't that big) where abouts is the garage with the Diablo?!

Alan, imo ... in 'real world conditions' (supermarket runs, motorway speed restrictions) an impreza would run with a Murcie
I think in any other situation an Enzo would kill a murcie. Full stop. Not a 640, but it would kill 6.2
Graeme - you've driven both back-to-back, what do you think?

Paul,
If you head south on the M1 and leave at Junction 22 signposted Leicester and Coalville, follow the roundabout round and come off at the forth exit heading towards Coalville. Carry on along this road and you wil see a BP petrol station on the right hand side (there is also a BP garage on the left but it is not this one), Hill Moren is situated at the read of the petrol station.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Tim

alan it's exactly the same, circumstances dictated it lived in a carcoon most of 06. i do intend using it much more in 07.
lsb asks an interesting question, i always wondered how many of each variant, particularly how many sv's are in the uk? jason once told me there were 11 rhd yellow sv's left, 2 having crashed badly(apparently one did resurface)

Absolutely have to agree,
having jumped out of a Murci and into an Enzo there really is no contest. The Enzo would anialate it. Have not driven the 640 but again I would not reckon it would be anywhere in the league of the Enzo.
cheers Graeme
