Met (briefly) a nice Sussex Traffic Officer today!

I was driving along the seafront (slightly exceeding the limit) rolleyes

F3CK! Theres Mr Traffic Officer with his trusty tripod mounted camera/detector - out he steps and flags me down _ "BallCocks" i utter as I pull over.

Mr Traffic Officer approaches my passenger window and as I lower it syas to me "Sir, the limit is 30 - slow it down a bit please"

ME: "errm, yes errm sorry errm errm"

PO: (with a smile on his face) "and I can lip read sir, as its Christmas the correct phrase should be BAUBLES!"

ME:

PO: "Merry Christmas"

And off I went:

shout Sussex Police - Never Ever replace this man with a Speed Camera!

clap that BiB

And merry Christmas to all our PH BiB too.

Having only ever met two d1ckheads in blue, albeit prize specimens, that very favourable percentage leads me to hope all hardworking plod have a lot of festive fun nicking lots of scrotes and enjoying very big police officers' balls, with a big pay rise for 2007 from that nice straight kinda guy, Our Tone.

Cheers xmas party

Sussex does seem to be a relatively fair area for speed enforcement. The local camera site (a mobile one) is right outside the pedestran access to the local community college. Other camera sites I know of are well signposted although I don;t know what the accident record is. More importantly there aren't many of them!

Mind you not sure what has happened to the Drink Drive campaign here as not seen a single police car on my 50 mile round trip commute to work in December.

Having gone past the Festival Fireworks site last night I know now where all the Sussex Police are. What with the Muslim school, and now this they must have used up all their overtime allowance for the year.

A good post to read. Thank god for some bibs.

I'm duty detective Christmas day. Double time. I have made it my mission to find a horrible wee ned wanted on warrant for housebreaking and to give him the jail before mid-day. Where the Procurator Fiscal assures me he will remain until after the New Year. Happily for me I know exactly where he will be.

I intend to proudly parade him from his cave to my car in front of all his frightened neighbours wearing a nice set of silver bangles that I will permit him to wear as a gift from me to him.

God bless Crimestoppers.

I will then go off duty and drink far too much. These are the things that make me happy.

thumbup Those kinds of happiness are catching

Just about the only thing I'd willingly pay more tax for is jailspace, and the thing that helps cope with the current lack of it is a decent sethevrikan red with a carnivorous feast, and a drop of quality scotch before zedding.
