In the market for a 4.0 Chim 97, 98 or 99.
Can anyone give an idea of how much it will cost and who has the best price in the land.
I will buy one if it's not too hard on the pocket.

Depends a lot on who you are and where you live.

Here's a list of recommended insurers.

For reference, Chim 500 no mods, 7 years no-claims, 26yo, no points, off road, village in Kent, £630ish inc Europe cover (with A-Plan).

I'm paying peanuts for classic car cover, as the Chimaera is my second car.

There isn't much difference in premiums from the engine size, value or year. At the end of the day, the chances of crashing a '94 400 are similar to a '99 500. And the 3rd party costs are generally the greatest.

It might be worth buying a Ford Fiesta for 50 quid to ensure the TVR is treated as a second car.

If it is garaged and limited miles is ok I would go with the clubs broker A. Mannings. £300 odd quid for 5000 miles, 93 4.3.
