CDRs in MP3 car stereos
Discussion
I use Nero to burn CDs and a standard CD-R takes about 20 tracks. Someone suggested I can burn a disc as a data rather than a music CD and get more on. Is this right? Assume I don't know anything and this is a serious question. I have an MP3 stereo in my Mustang which only accepts CDs.
Rip the tracks off of the CD using Windows Media Player. Set it to save the tracks as MP3 (the higher the sample rate the better the quality).
Once you have all the tracks saved then use Nero to burn them onto a CD-R. I use Roxio and that has an option for making an MP3 disc, don't know if Nero does. It doesn't matter, just burn them on as if you were making a data disc. Hey presto loads of music.
I made a disc the other day, recorded the tracks at the top sample rate and managed to get about 70 tracks on the CD. If you use the default sample rate you should get about 140 tracks.
Cheers
