GT4 - The Black cars

Having missed them the first 2 times around, I finally got a chance to get them on day 2100 but once I had bought one (the toyota gt-one race car) the list updated and the rest disappeared. Is this normal and I now have to wait another 700 days to get the others?

You get around 3 days to buy them, so if you have sufficient money (around 3 or 4 million CR as I recall) then you can buy them all in one hit. I did.

I had suffiecient money (18.5m) but they definately all disappeared after I bought the toyota

It could well be that you only noticed that they were available to buy on the last day of availability and by the time you had bought one the date rolled over to the next day and they became unavailable again.

I have a book at home that tells you the specific days they are available for - I'll dig it out when I get home and let you know.

Cheers. IIRC its something like every 700 days hence me going to check them on day 2100

Well there's your problem then. The window is so small you need to know the exact days.

So it would appear that they become available on day 694, 1394, 2094, 2794, etc.

And when you get to 100% complete you get given another Black car that is un-buyable.... an F1 car

Funnily enough since being awarded with it a few weeks back I havent played the game and have concentrated on Tourist Trophy (The prize for 100% on that game is an extra 5 race series knocking the percentage down to 95ish )

Got that a few months ago Now just "collecting" cars on it and using it as a stress release thing until I get a different racing game

I am struggling to pass the final driving mission round the 'Ring. Have tried it dozens of times but just cannot do better than third. Any hints (other than practice more)?

I'd like to give some decent advise but thats all I did. Just keep trying it. Dont go all out to do it first go, just keep trying to beat your previous time, and you'll eventually do it

That was pretty tiresome from memory. No real tips other than take it gentle. You can achieve it while driving at 9/10ths. If you crash or get any 5 sec penalty forget it. You can cut the chicane after Fuchsroe (about 2 mins into the lap) and that saves a couple of seconds. If you haven't passed the first SL before the Karussel and the second before Pflanzgarden forget it. You should be past the 190 before the gantry on the straight too otherwise the SLK gets in the way when trying to slow down for the chicane
