Hope you are pleased with the double page feature in the Jan issue, it
looks great!

We are putting together the readers pictures section for Feb issue and
would like to run your b&w portrait entitled, Sarah. We would also like
to add this image to a pool of images we are considering for the cover
it's a Portrait issue).



Would you be able to supply this image?




part of me wants to ask for some money because they are getting content for the mag to make profit but then another part think well why not. I'm stuck lol

What kind of magazine is it? Photography one really should know better.

yeah, DSLR User magazine, on their 3rd issue at the mo. I have a pic in the current issue.

As they are a new magazine it may be worth helping them out just now and possibly earn good favour for the future.
Instead of asking cash is there anything else they could provide that would help you out? Free gear etc?

If your pic does get posted on the cover, then I would have though you were likely to get a lot more paid work in the future. Would look good on the CV also.

Why not ask for a free subscription if they use it as a cover shot ?

just got an email asking for an invoice for £100 for the mr2 pic.

never knew I was getting paid lol
