I had to visit a company in Poole on Friday so I decided to take the Porsche and drive the scenic route I took the A34 south out of Oxfordshire, down to the A30. Very nice road to Salisbury via Stockbridge, could make very acceptable progress Came across a numpty doing 45, but dispatched them with a healthy dose of midrange torque, 3rd gear and a big grin
After Salisbury there is the lovely A354 to Blandford which is always enjoyable (specially this time of year with no caravans)
Average speed for the journey was 60mph (not through Salisbury, of course...)
On the way back I was followed by a white 944 for some miles up the A30 and we had a great drive, until I realised I'd missed my turn to Stockbridge by about 4 miles Who cares it was all good fun
