TVR is no more, went into liquidation today!

But thats it fellas, as we know it, TVR got renamed to Blackpool Automotive this year, and today has gone into liquidation, locks changed and gates closed.
I'm sure many dealers will now be scratching their heads thinking of what to do next, I heard the few that have already closed down have made some BIG losses....
I doubt this will impact the prices of our cerbies, but all those newer model owners out there, ouch

Oh yes, I can relate, but I cant understand, I dont have millions in reserves, but he did, yet he still managed to throw the towel in, ok his last words might have been about going to italy, yeah I would to if italian women were easy
but... its sad, guess we all have exclusive cars now, eventually there'll only be a handful left, to remind us of what us brits 'had', once upon a time, amongst all the german/yank tanks floating around.... to top it off, aston is for sale and so is Jaguar and range rover... jesus, everything us brits held proud are just warping away... slowly but surely...

Makes a lot of sense, but then, so far he's done nothing that shows business aptitude.... thus, my theory is, he's letting it all go to not see his bank balance drop further, and may dream he can start TVR again, but it very well may not, and I doubt he'll sell the TVR name for £1.... plus, with everything being sold off by the liquidators, theres nothing left????

Indeed, business aptitude would seem to be missing big time... proves that you dont have to be clever to be rich (thanks dad!)... but why screw up all those people while playing at being the big man?!

It may be an astute business move, but on every other front it stinks!

Yep, but it's taken you longet than NS to take a perfectly good TVR and turn it into a box of bits that doesn't work!

there are/were around 15 TVR companies able to use all or part of the TVR name. This all started with PW.
There are still a couple left, able to produce new TVRs.
Wether they do, wether they will and wether it'll be in the UK...we don't know.
there was still one party interested in maintaining the Blackpool facility as late as last week, not sure now.
as that part has now ceased, a buyer would not encur previous debts/contracts/liablities. I guess Jan will be the defining period?
