Chimaera 4.0, no idea of top speed, not even a rough speedo reading as that bottled it at 90mph
Felt really slow, what with a helmet on, and watching Joust's Noble disappear into the distance, I checked the handbrake twice and I just found the whole experiance a bit dull, call me irisponsable but I had more fun, and probably went a bit quicker chaseing Cirvy back home up the M1

I couldn't make Saturday due do someone coming to look at the other halfs car, and they never turned up.

Anyone have a RR Tuscan or Tuscan S speed. On my mates bit of private land mine has been recoreded from 20mph to 150 mph in half a mile, so I was looking to get post 170-180 at the weekend.

Oh well next time

I managed a recorded 151 in the Chimaera 450 with the roof on, speedo was indicating 155+. 4 runs 2 with the roof off and 2 with it on. With the roof off 144 was the top speed. I found the runway rather daunting on the first run and my first ever sprint down a runway, especially as I wasn't expecting a brow of a hill halfway down.

I understand the fastest time was 172 in a Porsche. Great fun sadly ended with the Tuscan S demonstator that blew the engine and deposited oil all over the bend at the end.

A Tuscan? Blowing an engine? First time for everything, I suppose...

Seems like your speedo is pretty accurate as mine was... (just over 150mph on speedo = 146mph thru speed trap).

Oh, didn't you know, they have fixed all the problems ... probably a bad batch of parts from another supplier, believe me it's true!

Anyone know if the results are to be posted on the web anywhere?

DAZ

PS - I read somewhere about a silver RUF 911 doing 171mph on the day. Anyone know the BHP of the car?

Seems my speedo was quite accurate, now there's a suprise for a TVR!

Miss posted the top speed on the day the Porsche speed was 171.

Paul from TMS had four scraps of paper with the speeds and car numbers or 3 characters from the number plate. We had a good laugh when I asked him the for speeds for mine (HGV)!

You could try calling TMS to see if they will post the times on their web site

have put a few pictures from Saturday's action here :
www.tvrbliss.co.uk

I didnt bother with the video as somehow in my excitement I forgot to plug the audio feed into the camera.. and without sound it's surpisingly flat.

Excuse my ugly mug in the photos.. try to look past & you may spot your own cars!

BTW who were the two I sped along with? 1st run S reg ocean haze Griff (I had inside lane); 2nd run silver Tuscan (I has outside lane) - though I'd got the better of you but boy that speed 6 engine can pile up the mph!!

I saw 171 on russel hiton's 4.2 cerbie speedo .. first run was the best even allowing for the slightly squiffy moment in the first corner - that was the run we did side by side with Y200MPH and the cars were quite evenly matched until the last few hundred yards. Later run only managed about 168 on the speedo on account of not being able to use the full two lanes coming onto the straight .. nearly used the grass though.
Didn't have any trouble at all slowing for the corner at the end, and I wasn't braking until well past the timing beam to make sure I'd gone through absolutely flat out . I think we did about 4 or 5 runs all in , great time ..

Had two runs in my Chim 500, roof on both times. First run was 146, which was about 5-10mph lower than the speedo indicated. Second run was 163 and I wasn't looking at the speedo (!) but did have time to notice the rev counter was reading 6k.
