Don'cha just love having a Porsche don'cha?
Ive got that buzz going, and I just wanted to post a couple of pics for no particular reason, just to celebrate what feeling you get from having one.
It doesn't matter which model, frankly "whats the best one" thread is past it.
Whatever one, they're fantastic, what a crack !
I took mine up the West End this morning. Traffic up there was non existent. Twas emptier than an Ipswich hookers handbag.
Opening it up to 4000rpm [ 1st and 2nd ] round Mortimer Street and the back of Oxford Street has to be recommended. Criss crossing the West End, maximum pose factor I can assure you. Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, New Bond Street, I kid you not, if you haven't tried it, you must. Its the best day out. Bit of P Funk on the Becker, roof just open an inch or two.
Come on Baby, you know its good.

Merry Christmas to any one who's got one, 914 to GT3RS, its just the sound of that Stuttgart metal pushing you up the street.

They are lush.

Yep, they're loverly. Sometimes the most inocuous moments stick in the mind.

A few yrs ago i was driving a 3.2 carrera one early summer's evening, i was stuck at piccadilly circus at the eros statue. A few of the pedestrians waiting for the crossing pointed and said "nice car" - i think the fact that they were a bunch of american teenage girls on an xmas shopping trip probably helps the memory but put a big smile on my face as i booted it down haymarket.

Ajit.

Cool! Ran mine up to the west end this morning as had to drop one of the kids off at a friend's place. Saw a motorbike cop giving me the once over and when he turned away gave it beans through the Hyde Park underpass

They must have been American. If they were British you would have got a load of verbal, shouts of Wank* and Twa* are usually the favourite ones.

You know sometimes you’ve just got to have that moment, it’s the reason for having one. Hey, and Traffic Old Bill have a soft spot for 911’s you know, they’re petrolheads same as you and me.
Couldn’t do without them. Merry Christmas if any of you are reading this, I know you hate the scameras boys, same as us.

Jamie, when you’re ready, Im ready.
If you don’t go old school, looking that old pic of your 996 with the “Magic Torch” decal on the back , I reckon your next one’s going to knock that into an old hat.
I reckon you're Brighton Rock, same as me.
Porsche written right through you.
Merry Christmas, good luck with the start up, have a prosperous New Year.

Evolution is the only way forward.

Your worst nightmare, unless you're at the wheel.

Haha - great post.
And I agree 100%, nothing as surreal and entertaining as ripping through a deserted west end - it's liberating!

Looking good there, nice with no traffic jams! Best time I found for traffic is January 1st early morning, it turns wretched roads into superb sweeping hoon worthy roads (but ruins them for all time after because you never forget how nice they can be!).

Happy Christmas all, I'll be off to get all the shopping and prezzies tomorrow morning, you can never be too thorough so I'm going to devote the entire morning getting the job done, you never know, 'could be tempted by one of those new off-roaders....
