O.K. things aren't looking so great but is it really worth losing sleep over?

Whatever happens TVR will be back whether managed by Jensen or by Nikolai???

Who knows?

So sit back with the popcorn, let things take shape and enjoy your Christmas!

I'm optomistic to a fault, my insistence that the glass is always " half full" borders on the excessive.

But, i really do think that we will never see another new TVR again. It's all gone too far now, it's too late. NS has totally shafted the last vestiges of whatever was left over.

Hugely sad & potentially so avoidable.

Mind you, if anyone fancies setting up a consortium........ It would be interesting to see how much people would be able to raise scratchchin

I've just read that Ron Dennis ( who is already worth £80M ) is about to net £100M from selling 60% of McLaren

Come on Ron, you'll only get bored in retirement shout

With all due respect Corin.

It's a fk sight easier to say that if you are the owner of an old chim and not the owner of a new TVR with 3 year warranty or a dealer or heaven forbid a member of the workforce who are being royally fked mate. You may not be losing sleep but I bet there are lots of TVR workers and their families who are. FFS. rolleyes

You're both right. For the record, the biggest losers are the dealers: losing a 3-yr warranty (pretty grim), losing your job (bloody grim), losing hundreds of thousands of pounds as your dealership goes down the toilet (fking grim). Good luck to owners, workforce and especially the dealers.

I agree with Unrepentant - It's a disgrace the way decent people have been treated particularly the loyal workers.

Hopefully the dealers will be sustained by the tide of secondhand sales until they find another marque to peddle.

All recent TVR owners will just have to sit tight and hope nothing expensive goes wrong or take an enormous hit in their 'financial goolies' and sell for what little they are offered.

Life's a bitch and then you die!

Unfortunately that's the way the real world works. Lots of people get made redundant and they generally survive and get other jobs. I've been made redundant 3 or 4 times (never had company redundancy money either) and always managed OK.
Edited: One thing that would worry me is, does this government still pay statutory redundancy money or has Greedy Gordon stolen that as well?

I honestly believe that TVR will be reborn, I stated this at the end of my first TVR video and I believe it today!

The fans, owners, club members and anyone else with a soul wont let it die off without giving it one last drug fuelled hoorah!

It might take 6 months, it might take 6 years, but TVR will produce cars in britain once again

Are we in danger of putting 2 and 2 together and making 5 ?

TVR Blackpool has been put into liquidation. Surely this is a way for NS to avoid paying redundancies and suppliers. Yes morally very poor, but are we surprised ?

NS now has the TVR name, with no debts attached. He can now sell it, or keep it and start TVR afresh somewhere else.

Re the three year warranty. Upto now they have been honouring their warranty. Perhaps NS is smart enough (or not?)to realise that if he wants to hang on to what is left of the UK market (for himself or to sell) then it would be a smart move to honour his 3 year warranty. Perhaps the transfer of parts to TVR Power is part of such a plan. Time will tell.

We have known that he was closing the factory. Nothing has changed EXCEPT the way he has chosen to do it, in effect clearing the decks, and shafting the workers and suppliers.

Close but no cigar Im affraid!

Although I love the old school sound that the Marcos brings, but the styling is way off of my board!

Rather have one of the older 3 litre ford engined Marcos
