I know this is a bit if a pointless post - but I've come to the opinion that if a GT3 ends up on my driveway it's going to be Speed Yellow, White Red or Black in that order,
I don't understand it fully, but the metallics seem a bit of 'lily gilding' to me.
What's the concencus on the definitive colour?

Must be Yellow (but that's because mine is) = to tell you the truth, i bought mine after searching for ages and the yellow one was in by far the best condition. Was not a huge fan of the colour but decided to go for it anyway. I absolutely love it now.

Agreed they look great in solid colours & carry them off better than cooking 996's likewise 964 & 993RS.
Happy with mine in Silver though, attracts less attention from the BiB.

Solid colours are much harder too.....You don't get all those crap scratches and chips that metallics seem to get in their laquer.

As it happens, mine also is yellow.

It contrasts our grey weather so beautifully ...

I agree. I love my SY MK1 and think generally the GT3 looks best in slightly lairy colours which is not the case with a standard 996. Shame Speed Yellow is not an option on the 997RS.

Checkout the photo on my profile lick

I do prefer metallics though to flat colours. And I didn't want an 'in your face' colour like yellow, red or white.
