Hi,

I have been to the F1 a few times but always stayed off site. Me and a few mates are thinking of going this year but i would like to camp.

There is a list on the silverstone site but i'm looking for camp site recommendations and estimated cost as I believe they are expensive.

Where should i stay, i would like to be able to walk into the circuit each day.

Thanks,

Matt

Try Whittlebury hall farm, thats where i will be, its walkable, clean toilets, showers and a bar each evening.

I second that i have campeld there twice cant remember the cost but IIRC it was £30 for the 2 nights last year, had showers, toilets and a bar. It will take 15 minutes to walk to the circuit but is worth it.

I'm going to this, someone I know who works for Silverstone can get me grandstand tickets for £20.

That will be the one, as has been said, walking distance to the circuit, bar, toilets, showers.

When i have been there i obviously visited the bar till gone 1am, portaloos were in the obvious state at that time, by 6 am when i got up and used them they were spotless again.

Close to the hotel where the drivers stop too if you are into driver spotting

One more question, can you get general admin tickets for Sunday only?

I was interested in the £99 3 day ticket but the cost of staying over may well be too much.

Do they do a Sunday only ticket anymore?

If not can i sell the Fri and the Sat tickets to someone else, or do they have procedures in place to stop this? (see this link, it says tickets are full transferable whatever that means - www.silverstone.co.uk/html/ra_f1.php)

Thanks again any help is much appreciated.

Matt
