Hi All,
I am looking to buy a CSL in the new year, I am preferably looking for a black low mileage 04 car, anyone looking to sell.
Obviously the car must have a full history and not to have been tracked to within an inch of its life .
I am living in Ireland and am going to travel over with cash in hand in Janary.
If anyone is interested in parting with their pride and joy, mail me.

Many thanks,
Mark

Most of them have been tracked, it is what they were made for and they take it in their stride. Buy on condition rather than if it has been tracked or not.

It very much depends on 'how' a car has been tracked.

Take mine for example (no, I'm not selling), it's covered 12,500 miles since new in Oct '03 and been on track dozens of times. But... after each track outing, the wheels were removed, brakes cleaned, bodywork clay barred and re-zymoled, oil was changed, brakes were bled, alignment checked etc.. Also every 2 or 3 outings it was taken into my local BMW dealer and a full inspection undertaken on the ramps. So the bodywork is near perfect, the alcantara trim is unmarked, it still smells new and drives as tightly as the day it left the factory.

Find someone who's looked after their CSL, applied all the warranty fixes and driven it properly rather than someone who's perhaps used it every day, kerbed the wheels a few times and only washed it in their local car wash.

The budget depends entirely on the car, I'm just looking for the right one and of course I dont mind if its been tracked, I am a track day regular myself, just dont want a csl thats been trashed

Has anyone noticed there are none for sale in the classifieds in 'Driving' or any of the other magazines? Seems like everyone's hanging on to them... I know I am!

No, i'm wrong... Go onto autotrader and type in CSL, there's loads on there mate. Good luck and hope you find the perfect one, Silver grey of course, and one that HASN'T been sitting in a garage all its life, and been used exactly as it SHOULD ie tracked!
