Apologies if this has been answered before...

My 997C2S has recently picked up an annoying habit of unlocking its doors and boot in the middle of the night (happens approx twice a week). Living in London my car is parked on the street so I need an urgent fix.

I know the theory about sensitive keys etc (not true in my case...) but my old 997 had the same problem - after a few arguments with OPC they admitted that its a common problem with 997s (and Caymans). Something to do with an oversensitive central locking system and a coding problem as the unit was designed for the cabriolet which has the comfort coding. Apparently they made some adjustments to cars in 2006 that fixed the problem (mine is 2005).

Just wondering if there was now a fix to the problem before I start shouting at my local OPC again...

Cheers
Erik

I've had a number of 9x7's and all have done the same - primarily I think it was down to the remote buttons. OPCs now have the ability to lengthen the time that the button needs to be pressed before opening, but realistically it still exists...
