Sony PSP - I have some questions - can you help?

I have been given some vouchers for christmas and am thinking of getting a Sony PSP.

Can anyone help with the following:

1. Is it actually any good or just hype?
2. What are the best games to buy for it?
3. Is the screen too small to watch videos on it?
4. Whats the battery life like?

Depends on what you like, but there are some pretty fun stuff out there (try Loco Roco)
Nope, although you might want to invest in a large memory card and rip your own.
Not too bad, although it does vary. Some games are quite disk intense.
