Other than TomTom do any of the other sat nav ‘s display the speed limit of the road your on?

I’m looking for a system that will keep my speed in check even when a camera isn’t around. The TomTom over speed display is a bit small. I’m looking for something clearer like the Road Angel display, but I believe Road Angel only warns you of over speed when approaching a camera.

This may be a silly question, but can't you just glance at the speedometer provided FREE with your car?

Your free speedo only tells you how fast you are going not how much faster than the speed limit.

Following on from the OP does my 710 have this overspeed function cos I've never seen it?

Its a plus function, so all "go" models have this.

Found this one yesterday (910 model), but I think the option only appeared after activationg the "show all options" option It shows speed / speed limit (for roads where it has that data stored), turns red if I'm 5km/h over the limit and then flashes if I hit the dizzy heights of 10km/h over the limit.

I'm wondering if I hit double the limit wether it will re-route me to the nearest police station via the bank machine...

This over speed limit thing, is it on tomtom one the new version, if so, do you have to do something to activate it, if it isn't one the new version as standard is it possible some one can send it me.
I have only been out once with it, as i only bought it the other day so have still got to get used to it, any advise/tips very welcome.

On TomTom one it is only on the GB_europe maps at the moment.

None of the speed limits can be relied on as they don't cover all roads and can be wrong at times!

Is it possible to turn off the flashing red when you go over the limit. It drives me mad, nothing does 70 on motorways these days.

Thanks

Just bought a new Garmin. I've only used it a couple of times so far but I'm pretty sure it showed road speed limits.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't.
