New Spiders ???

For Christmas I treated my car to a new set of Spiders. On having the tyres fitted the guy questioned if they were new or reconditioned. He asked this as the inner part of the wheel felt rough as if they had been left with over spray and not finished very well.

I came home and checked my origional alloys and they felt smooth on the inner part. So now I am just concerned incase these are reconditioned.

Has anyone else noticed new alloys being rough on the inside?

Where did you get the spiders? Now with the demise of TVR will the original supplier be able to sell direct?

Do they have the TVR logo on the spokes?

You can stil get new spiders through dealers.
You can add the stickers after a refurb.

Yes, I did get them from a TVR dealer and they do have the TVR logo on them. I do know that the dealer had to source them from somewhere else. I have also tried to contact the dealer but they must still be closed, so I will try again tomorrow.
