ECU Software - Quick question

I've just found some old software I had which states it is "TVR Road ECU Software".

I fire it up it shows error codes and a graph thing.

Also a picture of a Cerbera with a statement that no ecu cable connected. You can load various ecu maps in etc etc.

Is this the software I require for connecting up to the ECU on a cerb or something seprate.

Also what kind of cable will I need?

The most important thing you will need is a cerbera.
You just need a serial cable from PC world (but hack saw off a couple of the screw in connectors).

The longer the better too. I have to plug a USB extension cable in mine to be able to reach it from the driver's seat (connector is on the wrong side of the laptop really).

I'm not ready to buy yet, I'm making sure I'm fully informed before any purchase.

I'm one of those people who like to have workshop manuals, software etc etc before actually buying the car.

It allows me to have a better understanding of the car before do the PIA bit of buying.
