I know this is sad, but I play football in Bromley and have an hours journey which I usually use the shopping car for, however this week I need to take the TVR.

Part of my enjoyment of this is listening to the footie scores on my way home, but when I tried in the Tiv last night, I got nothing on medium wave.

Is there anything I can do to get better reception?

I would suggest you stop supporting Southampton

Ian,

Nice, but I'll tell your missus about moral dilemmas!!!

I really could do with listening to radio 5 to see how my team is getting on, and even though I love the engine noise, football comes a close first. any help?

I fitted a Modwise amplified aerial to my last Tiv. It improved FM reception by about a squillion percent, but I'm not sure how it would do for AM.
They have a website at www.modwise.com but it seems to be offline at present...

Dave, its still listed as expired on a lookup with the Registrar.

I guess youve spoken to Hotlinks/Domain Master already about it.

Hopefully if so, and alls been paid up, should come back online again tomorrow.

but, from what I can see on a lookup, it isnt

feel free to mail if you want clarification.

Edited to say Expiration Date: 19-mar-2004 seems to be showing now

Thanks for the e-mails and the info: The site is still down, so anyone got a number for them?

Cost?
Time to fit?
Time to fit for someone like me who is useless at this stuff?

It took me about an hour to fit. The hardest part is finding a route for the two cables from the boot to the head unit (I needed to remove the door seal and lift the carpet around the door)

They also seem to be able from TVR Gear for £37.27 (It was about that from Mod-Wise too, I think)

Cured the radio problems by fitting a DAB radio. I've got a Blaupunkt Woodstock. Also plays MP3's so I've got rid of the autochanger as well. Gets TalkSport and Radio 5 perfectly, check that they work in your area though.

Interested to hear that you have fitted a DAB unit where did you mount the aerial? Was it difficult and did you have to make any major modification to the fitting area? I have thought of adding the Pioneer DAB adapter to my original radio, which is an option, but was unsure if DAB would work in a GRP car. Pleased to hear that it works for you.
