Hey all

Have been advised that here is probably the best place to post my question about the 350Z. I'm looking at buying a new car in the next year or so and figured i would start looking into it now as it's the most i've ever shed out on a new car :-) Well hopefully.

Really like the look of the 350Z and have got a test drive booked for the end of Jan (local dealer doesn't have a demo model in at the mo). I've noticed that there's a big price difference between the UK spec models and those that have been imported from Japan. Does anyone know what the difference is? Is it really worth 5k more?

Any advice on the 350Z would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I bought one two weeks ago. 53 plate with the GT pack and 30k on the clock. I love it.

The differences are fairly minimal I suppose. You will struggle to get an import with the Brembo setup, the wheels are slightly smaller too. On the inside, there are some minor trim differences. I have heard that the exhaust is slightly different, but not sure on that one.

It's generally advised that if you intend to mod the car, then the import is the best route.

Also take a look here for information www.350z-uk.com/forums/index.php

Good luck anyway, they are fine cars, and well worth it

If I was in the market for a 350Z I'd be looking at spending £20k on nearly new: something like thuis would do nicely www.pistonheads.com/sales/121015.htm

I dont want one for myself, but I'd love to have a go in one: they do sound like an awful lot of fun behind the wheel (specifically sideways )

Thanks guys much appreciate the advice.

I'm was just wandering if there was really 5k difference between the UK spec and Jap import, as in what your getting for your money that is.

Am going to have a test drive in one in a couple of weeks will report back afterwards :-)

Think the misses might go a bit mad if i spend 20K lol

Careful with the imports, Jurgen. Although the UK market only gets 2 specs (regular and GT) import models have far more (and some are very different). Would definitely recommend registering for the site above (its free) and doing a search as all the info is there for you along with plenty of knowledgable and friendly owners who have been there.

I looked at 350Z's and I do like them, the interior put me off though and I'm not sure the looks will age well. But thats my opinion of course. A great drive though.

I think the interior is a very nice place to be especially if its a GT car with full leather etc, the binnacle pods all move with the steering wheel if you need to adjust that so no sight problems to the instruments and the onboard comuter display is easy to use.

As for looks, not sure, but how long do you actually intend to keep it and there are far more fugly cars on the road to be honest. You could be driving a plymouth cruiser hurl
