Is it still out there - GLG200K Gilbern Estate

Way back in the seventies when the factory closed my Gilbern Invader Estate was in for repair. After many months of negotiating with the administrators GLG200K arrived back home somewhat dishevelled from hers days stagnating in the workshops, during which time she had been repaired and re sprayed. Unfortunately the workforce must have understood what was happening as the paint job was not what I would call customer acceptable, looking like it had been done with the home vacuum kit.

Anyway many days followed up and around the North West until forced into selling due to business venture.

Therefore does anyone know where she is or if she is still alive?

Hi Clive,

I had one of these around 1980, URV 70K, and although not on the road it appears it still exists on SORN. Try the DVLA website.

Found it though not sure if still alive?

Date of Reg on SORN is correct as 14/04/72, currently unlicensed and appears not have been so since 01/04/2000. Also seems it's colour has changed to Green not it's original metallic aubergine.

Hi Clive,

When I was on the DVLA site I tried a couple of cars that I know have been scrapped and they come up as no record, so I think your old car exists but is off the road.

As of this month, GLG 200K is listed with a current club member
