A while ago I upgraded from Firefox1 to Firefox2 on my laptop and also on my pc.
For some reason the spell checker works on my laptop but not on my pc
I've checked for updates, none available, and both laptop and pc seem to be the same versions.

Anyone got any ideas?

Firefox 2 has spell checking built-in, you just need to install a dictionary. A quick google for "Firefox British English" should do the trick and get you in to the mozilla dictionary stuff.

I'm running Firefox 1.5.0.9 is there a spellchecker for it?
I'm running it from a memory stick using the U3 platform and "they" havn't released a version 2 Firefox for U3 before anyone says upgrade

Erm... www.wikihow.com/Install-a-Spell-Checker-Into-Firefox

Or if SpellBound gives you issues on 1.5 try this:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1022/

You'll need to put ASpell on the USBKey and the dictionary... but it should work... hopefully.

Thanks again for my help btw.

I right clicked whilst in the reply box (like this one) scrolled down to 'languages' and clicked 'add dictionary' and then chose the English one and voilà All works now.

Great information! After a couple of clicks I managed to get Spellbound installed and working (it is problematic on 1.5 but the link gives you the answer) Then I found that Google tool bar is available for Firefox so I've settled on that for now.
Manny thanks
