Scanning Thousands

Over the years I have accumulated many thousand 35mm Black & White negatives,
all cut into strips of six frames.

I would like to see my own 'history'
but it seems such a HUGE task to scan them all.

Can anybody suggest a way of doing this which is not
either too time consuming or expensive.

personally i think its either going to be expensive or time consuming. If you have 1000's, there are a fair few online companies - slidescan4u charge 27p a neg, so £270 per thou. They may do discounts for bulk.
I might look into sending your negs to the US to have them done, based on the current rate.
