Hi - quick question for you cerbie owners that park their motors outside - Mine is getting pretty hammered by the elements at the moment, and I wonder if any of you have come across a foldable garage to keep rain etc off the car.
Any ideas anyone? (and also suppliers?)

Costco in Reading are selling a collapsible frame garage at the moment at about £200. They have got one assembled so you can have a good look at it and it appears very robust with thick plastic sheeting and steel poles. It would need to be anchored to the ground when outside, but looks very weatherproof. It comes in 2 cardboard boxes about the size of (longish) suitcases so storage when not in use should be no problem. It would house a cerb easily, you'd even get loads of other stuff in it as well, round the sides as in a normal garage (depending on the security of your area!)
I saw them on an Xmas shopping visit with the wife last week and am now hatching a plot to persuade her to let me buy one, as despite having a large garage, I can't get all my automotive toys in it at once.
I would imagine all Costco stores carry similar products, so there might be one nearer to you, good luck and happy new year to you.

I've got a Mk1 Golf living in an outdoor Carcoon at the moment, as I don't have enough garages.
They aren't cheap, but I've been amazed how well it's withstood the wind/rain of the last month & it's fan assisted so draws the moisture out too.
Might be a bit too much work if you use the car on a regular basis (my Golf is being stored pending a restore).

Saw this today in the Reading one as well. Really want it and does look good, the price was more like about £140 even with the Vat which is something of a bargain. Only bugger for me is that it is 20' long and 10' wide, I only have my driveway to put it on which is not long enough so no good for me in reality (not that stopped me from wanting it but I was overruled). Would be ideal if you had space down the side of a house for instance.

thanks for your post clarifying the cost of the garage/shelter at costco, I don't know where my idea that it was £200 came from, but as it was "only" £140, that swung it for me and I got the green light from the missus to buy one! Picked it up on Friday. Now I'm just impatiently waiting for the weekend torrential rain to stop so I can put it up and go and play in it!

I am actually quite jealous, just wish I could work out a place to squeeze it in somewhere at my place. Would be a cracking thing to take down to Le Mans or somewhere, bit of an ad hoc party marquee should the weather ever be bad

Thank you for posting the picture! I am sure the Cerbera would love it in there, but can't see me getting away with it around here.
