With all the problems at the factory, what do people think, have Cerbera prices:

1. Already taken a hit - there is more to come?
2. Already taken a hit - they have bottomed out - normal depreciation now?
3. Are about to take a hit?
4. Something else?

Not sure, watch this space. I've got a sag was up for 41,000 then dropped to 36,500 I paid 35,000. Buyers market at the moment and with all this factory stuff and warranty issues, it's all to up in the air to soon to say. Comming soon the shit will hit the fan!

Does it matter what happens at TVR to really effect the prices as they are not made anymore. Yes they may drop a bit more but in the long run they will firm and rise and when there even more a classic you will not be able to buy one for love or money.

I cant believe people are worried about depreciation.A car is the worst investment you can put your money in.I didnt buy mine or any of my cars for that matter, to sit there and worry about how much money it would loose.I just want to get out there and enjoy them.But if you think depreciation on a Cerbera is worrying you then consider this.A very good freind of mine who i grew up with bought one of the first AM Vanquish,s at £164,000.16 months later he traded back in and was offered £106,000!Thats depreciation.You can now pick up an early Vanquish for just under £80,000.What a hit to take on a car thats just over 4 years old.

i agree with BLUETHUNDER cars loose money and thats it,you have to except it or dont buy one.
as for the price of cerbs imo a good example should be worth more than they currently are,but they are only this price as people advertise them at these prices,its not like there are thousands to choose from

Cars are only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. I don't think Cerbera's will drop much below £10K unless they need some work doing on them but as we all know the cost of running these cars can be a bit heavy at times so its buyer beware. I was looking at buying another Cerbera after i wrote mine off last December but due to their age and what was lack of decent warranties at the time decided against it ....but God i still miss the Cerbera (the Car dreams are made of)

Personally I think prices will carry on dropping. We have to forget that we are all Cerbera enthusiasts, and look at the situation from an outsiders point of view.
If someone wants a high performance Supercar, then in reality a Cerbera is the last car they would consider, unless thay are on a tight budget, in which case a cheap Cerbera may appeal. in other words people will buy them only because they are cheap.
Ask yourself this - If you were considering purchasing your first Cerbera right now, what would you do? Buy quickly at the sellers asking prioe before the prices start to rise? Wait for the prices to drop? or buy now but offer the seller well below what thay are asking?

I fear that if we are honest not many of here us would consider the first option a sensible strategy.

There are plenty of people who really would love to own a cerb and who will pay a decent price to get 'the fix' quick. Not everyone is out to drive a bargain. Some (like me) want to pay a reasonale price for a reasonable condition car. IMHO

Interesting to note that there are only 40 or so Cerbs for sale on Pistonheads today. There were 90+ available in the summer months.
