Anyone else's Wii Remote keep turning off?

whilst playing tennis, the controller turns itself off. Batteries are apparently in top form..
very strange.

Nope, mine's been fine, you can tell when the batteries are running low as the speaker on the wiimote starts getting very crackly and not playing the whole sound.

You can also see the battery level when you press the home button - or when the Wii is off if you press a button the 4 lights flash to show battery level. The alkalines that came with them were rubbish though, mine were on full one minute then the next the remote wouldn't even turn on.

my mums been fine and she's played her's alot. got through one set of AA's but the Wii tells you before they are dead that they are getting low
