0-60 in 2nd gear?

A few idle moments and I got to thinking...I often pull away from stand still in 2nd gear, just wondering what sort of time it would take to get to 60 without having to change gear, would it be much slower?

Ooh last minute PH fix before the new year..

Did a good few drags down the pod with the Ultima. Did muchos testing with 2nd gear starts as we knew that it saved the gearchange. In all cases the slow start in second was outweighed by the gearchange when starting with first as you don't get bogged down and you have the ability to control the wheelspin.

Most of the 1/4 mile kings swear by autos as you can keep the power on during gear changes. Give me a manual box anytime

I don't think there is much in it tbh but your clutch won't like it too much...
