Topfield PVR Freeview into a PC Monitor?
Discussion
So as not to hijack anybody else’s related threads….
I've just got a Topfield 5800 PVR Freeview box with hard drive...but rather than have the output going to a TV, I want it to go to my 17" TFT computer monitor which is not going to be connected to a PC anymore. Note, this is not an LCD television.
The monitor has a DVI port and an analogue VGA port.
The Topfield has various... SCART, S Video, Component (ie yellow, red and white) and an SP-DIF connector.
My computer monitor is a Samsung 172T 17" TFT, about 4 years old. No idea what kind of DVI it is, other than I connect my PC to it.
Any suggestions if its possible to connect them?
As always, huge thanks,
LB

There appears to be a product on ebay at £40 to convert scart to VGA that should do the trick
