Well Ive been using the Griff over the Christmas period and was just thinking how well she was running when out of the blue the lights pack up on me!!
Looking in my T.V.R. manual it tells me hazards, radio and lights are fed off the same fuse.Sure enough all of these have packed up.
I went to change the fuse (No 11) but the fuse was ok, checked all others and the are ok too!!
Any Ideas?
Apart from that the car is running great.
Thanks

Michael, did you change the fuse anyway, i have seen what looks to be a good fuse have an airline crack,it does not mean its blown its just aged but it wont pass current all the same swap with a known good one has to be worth a try, unless you have done so already, good luck.

Yep, what that daddy said.
Read the first and last post on this thread if you don't believe its worth swapping the fuse.

Thanks for that, but yes i have changed the fuse and swapped for fuses that i know are working, after reading some threads on here i checked my main beam, they only work in the flash mode i dont know if this will shed any light?

Michael, the flash main beam is on a different circuit so that explains why thats still working, that does help though ill get back to you if i think of something else/reason for your fault.

Corroded fuse boxes are not unheard of. The wiring behind the fusebox may also have been disturbed / damaged.

If you need to diagnose anything its easier to release the fuse box and harness for access.

Thanks Simon.
One other thing i did have new music fitted a couple of months ago, i was wondering if maybe this has a seperate fuse which might have blown but would it have taken out the whole circuit?

Thanks Dave,
Sounds like a possible option, is it much of a job?

Once you find the 2 nuts/bolts inside & in the wheelarch it doesnt take too long. The generous TVR harness (umbilical cords) are so long that the whole fuse box (with mounting box) can be eased out from the inner wheelarch onto the passenger seat / even on to the ground out the door. Much easier to work on than up in the footwell :-)

Don't forget that the wiring in a TVR is ever so slightly random. If you have a fuseboard diagram, the chances are it's wrong in some area. Mine looked nothing like what both the user manual and the "bible" said it should. (that's before I modified it ) E.G. the fuses marked indicator L and indicator R were both spare, while the one marked spare was for the alarm sounder and there were 2 fuses for the fans, but one was labeled as heated seats... Fun, isn't it!

Oh, I forgot to mention, I found a different fuseboard layout in my car than the 6 or 7 published in the bible. If you've already checked the fuses are OK it doesn't really matter this time but it might be worth testing a few circuits while you are fiddling around now and mark the bible with your fuseboard layout for future use.

A good tip, which I think came from FlipFlopGriff is to copy your layout, laminate it and stick it under the passenger carpet.

heheheheh thats why the only thing for certain regarding the fusebox is my internal diagram (well for the mo264 not the other one). It may not be down to the factory, dealer / non-dealer upgrades may have changed layouts + you may not have the original handbooks.
