Japanese cylinder heads on a US V8
Discussion
Happy New Year!
I remember reading an article ages ago where a Japanese motor manufacturer (I think it was Honda) fitted it's own design of cylinder head to an American V8 (maybe GM) - can any of you PHers fill in the missing details please?
I think it had something to do with proving a point about lean burn versus catalytic converters but am not certain.
I've hunted through my cuttings box and can't find the article, I also did a quick search on the web but only the only articles that seemed to ring a bell were those on the Honda history site about CVCC engine development.
Hope you can help,
Cheers
