Does anyone know where the best place to get a new set of front brakes and pads for an E55.
Is there a better alternative for the factory disks? Or a good supplier of origional parts chearper than the dealers.
Looking into this the main dealers sell the disks for only £77.85 + VAT each.
The pads are £174.48 + VAT does anyone have any experience with EBC red or yellow pads as they are half the price and claim to provide better performance. I am keen to avoid squealing etc..
I would stick with MB discs, they're not that expensive. The pads, well, at least with the EBC pads you shouldn't get loads of brake dust covering your wheels, and the subsequent corrosion caused by all those tiny metal filings.

fwiw, i have found the brakes to be unbelievably good. I would even say marginally better than the porsche 997S that i had. Therefore, i would not be looking outside of regular MB dsics etc.
