Hi guys & gals,

I am thinking of getting a 2001 360. It's a manual, has done 20k and has the Ferrari Power warranty on it.

What kind of issues should I be looking out for? And how good is the warranty (what are the exceptions etc).

I'm coming from a Z3MCoupe and find that a fairly reliable car....just wondering if anyone else has made a similar jump. I have also considered a Cayman S but think that now is probably the right time to get my first Fezza! Pity my wife doesn't understand...she thinks I'm going through a mid life crisis at the age of 30!

Cheers,

dj kam

Please excuse my ignorance but what is SD2?

I had already noticed under hard revving that gasses were coming out the back box in the engine bay...and that there was a white powder on top so thanks for the tip off on that one! How much for that should I haggle....the lights seemed ok but will ask about if xenons or not. I think I will get Verdi's to have a look at it though...even though it has the power warranty.

Thanks

SD2/3 is the computer diagnostic system - you plug in a small electronic box and it tells you every fault code that's cropped up.

and if its a F1 car, you can find the total miles covered in each gear(compare with odo) and the number of times its hit the rev limiter.
