Does anyone have any information relating to the 2007 version of the John Cooper Works kit for the 'S'?

I have seem some images which I have to say took a while to appreciate but I now think it looks spot on, just the right amount of aggression however I am still working on the rear bumper, it just does not sit right in my mind (personal quibble).

I have been trying to find out some specs on the new kit? 0-60? BHP? Optional extras? etc etc.

Is there any official information and if not then what would your best bet be? A good friend just said to get a standard Cooper S and take it to BBS rather than forking our for the John Cooper Works option. Not a bad idea but I would loose out on those great Works look

all the pics thus far are of a standard S in areo kit (bmw call it the jcw areo but its simly a branding to sell it) the deatils of the works car are not forth coming but the current rumors are that it will be a seperate model like say the clio trophy is and no longer a dealer option and may even have a differnat engine see mini2.com for all the latest

The Cooper Works kit for the New New Mini features no performance upgrades for the engine - instead, you get a strut brace, sports brakes, the aero kit, a selection of alloys, a carbon rear wing, carbon mirror caps, and you can choose the wonderful bucket seats for the interior. See here for more details -

yes becuse the engine stuff is scheduled for a march relase as it may well be a model in its own right all the above apart form the brakes and brace are mere branding by bmw and hardly what i would call works parts as works played no part in their acctual development

mini are being more coy about details of the next works than they were with the last as it was known form an early stage that it would be a dealer fit option this is not likey to be the case but there is likey to be a dealer fit 'sound pack' for the S and cooper and likey a sperate S WORKS model in the range
