Fr Christmas was good enough to give me a combined skid pan and high performance course with these guys. Any one have any feedback on them. My only reservation is that the perfromance driving is in a ford focus. The instructors state that there is no reason for me to bring my cerb all the way over as it is more of the techinique which is transferable to any vehcile. My only feelings are that the difference in power would dictate how one would approach the drive.

And the fact that a Focus is fwd? Probably some liability problems with using your own car or something

I can bring the car if I wish, the only thing is , it is a 3k mile round trip

and a cerb is real wheel drive! surely that makes a difference! Also somthing i remember bosscerb telling me a while back, He went on a drift day in his cerb and had to use a completley different technique to the jap boys due to the cerbs tight lock?? I may be wrong though.........

Oh I see, nah deffo take the Cerb if they will let you use it. I am sure a certain amount of stuff is probably transferable but the chance to explore your car at and beyond it's limits in a controlled environment has got to be worth it.

I've done the Castle Coombe skidpan course twice. They have front wheel drive and rear wheel drive cars to use as the driving techniques are different for both.

they have rear wheel drive for the skid pan, but not for the performance driving side

Half right! The Cerbera doesn't have enough lock (amongst other issues).

I can't for the life of me see how anything learned in a FWD shopping trolley (beyond mirror, signal, manoevre) transfer in any way to driving a Cerbera.

Looks like I will bring the car over and get to apm or austec for a service at the same time. they have a date in feb at the moment, however I am not keen to slat exposure ( even though has just been waxoyled)
