Not sure if you are all aware that the date has been changed for the owners day.

Its now on Saturday 17th Febuary and NOT 21st Jan as before. See sticky thread at top of page.

Not sure why we were not told about this but please book up asap so it doesn't get pulled again.

Should be better weather then hopefully, and the best news is that I can go.

Sorry I'm confused. There is still a track day on the 20th at Brands Hatch available and as of 5 minutes ago its still available to book on theri web site and nothing about a date change.
It never was going to be a Noble only event but its a track day that I hope loads of owners will come to.
Alternatively we could divert to the open pit lane day at Bedford the same day.

What do people think?

This is the link to the new date.

The 20th is still on but its just a standard TD now.

It's expensive to hire a track for exclusive use so we seem to try and do it at crap times of the year when it's a bit cheaper ... and poor weather discourages attendance.

It might be more realistic to just say that Noble Owners are planning to attend a track day on Blah date because by now it's pretty obvious that an exclusive NOC only track event isn't going to happen until we get substantially more owners (which won't happen until Lee starts building them in quantity again) or more enthusiasm for tracking and racing the cars.

Time for a rethink perhaps?

No need to discuss, the first sensible thing I've come across this year. We need to agree to publicise who's going where and when and try to get group meets within track day events. So, I'd penciled in Brands on the 20th but I'd be happy to divert to Bedford if that means more Nobbies would be able to come and admire the fastest Noble on the planet.... :-)

But we need a quick decision.

I haven't forgotton but without the CATs fitted I really think there's little chance of me getting away with it.

Adrian, we'll have to arrange a meet up when I get the car back in the next week or so.

Everyone: my car isn't standard anymore and a standard Noble has no noise issues at Bedford.

Obes – top marks for trying to book an exclusive day thumbup but I think Chillidog is right. It’s probably a combination of the time of year and a lot of new owners who are still getting to grips with the car and are slightly reticent about taking it on a track yet.

Perhaps another owners meet in the Spring [like the last one, but without the puddles] which seemed to be very popular, with an open access track day at the end? Maybe meet for breaky in the morning. Followed by a morning blat to a track venue. Then spend the rest of the day at an open access track day in the afternoon for those that wish to partake or watch. I think that might get more takers. Hardcore track junkies could just go straight there and do the whole day if they prefer.

> Just spoken with MSV and they have stopped doing half days, so that knocks that idea on the head! Ah well, ‘twas just a thought – I’ll get back in me box boxedin

Don't Brands still do the summer evenings?

Weekdays only - so I doesn't work with the weekend morning/afternoon idea. Although I am definitely up for one or two of the evening sessions after work in the summer.

Bedford do summer evenings that end with a bbq. Or at least they did last year. I think that they tend to be weekday eves though.

Good idea on a April/May meet and a track.

If enough of us book the same day it'll be great fun.

Evening sessions can be done at Donnington as well, which is a much more fun track then Bedford in my opinion. And if someone straps a large gas BBQ to their rear wing you could have a bar-b-que at the end too. Although I guess noise would probably still be a slight problem for those lucky few.

Must admit I have been put of by the risk of weather for signing up for the last couple, so I suspect there are others like me who would sign up for later in the year.

I'd be up for a Donnington or Bedford evening though.
Rob.
