Don't think there is any as it's a dry sump and the extra oil just sits in the catch tank?

As long as there isn't so much that it can run down the breather pipe, you should be ok.

At the top of the catch tank neck is a rubber tube that snakes off to the intake system.

If the oil level is within an inch or so of this, then drain some off with a large syringe / turkey baster / etc.

An inch or so above the Max. mark on the dipstick will not be a problem.

IMO you don't want the level more than a few mm above max - I tried it rolleyes

The level moves around a lot under hard cornering/acceleration so oil gets sucked into the air filter clogging it slightly (it is supposed to be oil-soaked, but a little light oil not 1/2 litre of engine oil!)

It'll then drip out down the air intake pipe when warm, leaving a puddle for a few months...

Thank you for all your replies. I put in about half a centimetre above the max mark. I will report any problems. It did however drive home superbly.

Cheers
