**Newbie Post**

This is the first post on this forum, although I have been reading the helpful posts here for months - thanks!

I have a water leak into my passenger footwell which I have been unable to trace. It seems to be dripping down from above the footwell near to the battery. It seems to only leak when left standing in heavy rain, hence it is not the heater matrix. It also seems to only happen sometimes, maybe to do with the parking angle?

My question is: are there any areas to check for sealing on the passenger side (for example like around the brake fluid resovoir tank on the drivers side)??

Many thanks in advance,

Pete.

Reseal the wiper motor bracket bolts (check the captive nut is not cracked/ leaking) & the grommet on the inner wing that the wiper harness goes thru. They are the main culprits in that area (ie not near the door) I think.

When I looked over my car before buying it I noticed the passenger footwell was wet too. I raised this with the dealership that I was getting to do the once over and was told it was because the wrong size tyres were on it and whilst cornering it was touching and wearing out the fibreglass making it porous (sp?).

PS The previous owner paid for the new tyres and sorting out the fibreglass, which was nice!

Check around windscreen seals both between body and seal and glass and seal.
Had a similar problem on mine and this was the cause.
Clean carefully and dry under the rubber seal with a hair drier and then run a bead of sikaflex under the rubber seal and allow to cure.
Hope this helps.
Cheers Paul.
