S3 Heater

Hi

The heater motor on my S3 is siezed - I have extracted the unit from the car ( details available not a fun job ! )

Does anybody know what the heater unit came from ? It has no ID on it.

or - Has anybody transplanted another motor if so from what car ?
Theres a few on e bay usually.

no idea myself but if you can post a pic of the old one on this thread, someone may recognise which donor (if any) it came from.

Hi Thanks for that havnt mastered the photo onto the page yet but I have extracted the motor from the unit and its AC Delco, the fan dia is 100mm and the depth is 115mm.

I dont, but it might be worth taking the motor to an electric motor rewinder if the replacement unit cannot be identified

Did someone once say it was a Austin Mini unit? IIRC they did, but don't know who or if they are right
