Evenin' all,

Quick question for the PH collective. We're after a shortened sump for our 2 litre black top Zetec that's going in our currently-being-built Robin Hood. Does anybody have any recommendations or knowledge on where we may try?

Have had a good old search on the Robin Hood owner's site but I can only really find info on the Pinto engine, not the blacktop.

Thanks all
T

I have fitted a 1800CVH sump to my silvertop. As this is steel it is much easier to modify. I am not sure about the blacktop though as it is a two part sump.

Can you not just modify the lower steel part to increase your ground clearance??

Do you mean of the sump or the lower steel part of the chassis members?

People can modify the sumps themselves but our engineering knowledge isn't that great that we'd confidently do it unfortuantely.

Thanks for the replies, gents.

Hi,

I had a blacktop Zetec in my Westfield. Pictures of how I shortened my sump are on my website:

I've got a Raceline on my Blacktop, was fitted when I brought the car. Not cheap, but a work of art. You could try Scholar Engines. Have a look at this thread on the WSCC, may be of some help to you.
