Since all the recent baggage restrictions have been put in place, is it stil permissable to carry ski boot bags on to the flight (in particular FlyBe)?

The ticket and website information conflicts & im not going to phone a premium rate number to find out so does anyone have recent experience with this?

I know this is dumb of me, but I take it you are asking about taking the boots aswell as the bag onboard? Doesnt say in your post.

When I went just before christmas skiis and boots had to go in the hold, however we were lucky as nobody asked for any extra payment on outward and return journey. However this policy could have been the particular airline we went with (fly astraues)

I realise that this probably still doesnt answer your Q.

As an ex loader of planes I recommend you take anything you can that you value as hand baggage (it's not theft..it's the chucking and the standing on). A boot bag may just about be small enough, though I can't make a definitive statement on that.

Thanks guys - I will try and get them on as hand luggage. Im under the minimum weight and the ski boot bag is almost exactly on the max dimensions (a little over) so I might be lucky... If not, I'll be repacking in the check in area!!
