Bonnet stay

Can anyone tell me how my bonnet stay should go? When I got the car it looked like a wonky corkscrew. I straightened it out best I could and now it fouls on the expansion bottle and the air flow sensor plug. Still waiting for my Bible which I ordered before Xmas. Many thanks CRAIG.

Hi,mine used to foul to,same place.Gave up in the end and left it in the boot.The only advice I could pass on is what I've done.Which is fit the new Steve Heath one.It is superb and worth every penny.Regards,Dave J.

Thanks very much - looks like it's gonna have to be a Steve Heath conversion for me than. Where can I get one? and how much?

Yeh mine used to rest on the exp tank etc so I relocated it to the boot.

Now I'm making my own which will be also live in the boot but when in use will run vertically between the centre of the top chassis rail behind the expansion tank and the centre of the bonnet rail.

Got mine for christmas as well unfortunately it was to short aparantly tvr stuck the location clip allmost anywhere mine 25mm out steve is very kindly sending me a longer one top bloke good kit mind. My roller bolt also siezed had to file drill and tap the bonnet pain of a job on your own plenty of copperslip now.
