Can anyone recommend a winzip alternative that is free and has a similar interface to winzip?

Thanks,

Is ZipCommander still around? It used to be free.
Windows XP has the ability to manage zip files itself (create, add/remove passwords, but not multivolume archives... I think), it calls them "Compressed Files and Folders" in the various menus.

Most stable decompressor around, and rar is better than zip anyway in regards to compression strength. 7zip is best (strength wise) but has least uptake amongst users.
