has anyone succesfully downloaded the original Red Baron from dynamix I found a website offering the game for free , but just cant get it to download properly on a modern pc 1 gig

if anyone has would really apreciate a clicky and helpful hints on how to do this

Assuming you mean Red Baron the original and not RB2 or RB 3D, i just got it here:

I made a yellow folder (call it what you like) dropped that download into it,
ran it and that gave me an INSTALL file and one called REDBN16C.
I then ran the install one which created a new red baron yellow folder and left
loads more files inside that folder.I then clicked the INSTALL file to choose
the graphics/sound option (use arrow keys and enter) and selected the last option
to launch the game.
I didn't mess about with the sound etc though, the options for that and the graphics
are proper old school (meaning hardly any) but it did work and run.I didn't have sound.

Alternatively you can just click the BARON file too if you don't want to fiddle with
the graphic/sound setting above.

I quickly flew using the arrow keys and shot using space bar..then came back here to report.
