I haven`t used them myself yet but have heard that Offords is highly recommended in Cambridgeshire. Their service costs seem very good if you look on their website and they will also pick up the car (included in cost). We have just moved to Norfolk (just south of Kings Lynn) and they were willing to come here to pick ours up, probably another 30 miles on from you!

Their website is www.offord.com. There is also Brundle near us, they no longer have a TVR franchise and I have not seen recommendations on here but due to brake problems recently needed someone with TVR knowledge very close and found two TVR mechanics now working for Brundle VW franchise. I talked to them personally to check that they knew what they were doing with TVRs even though not working on them now and got them to do the work for me. It turned out what they thought was the problem was spot on and was duly done at the VW Franchise at the price quoted and to perfection! I will use them for bits like this from now on but not servicing due to stamping the service book.

I am going to be moving to a new estate called Hampton Hargate (near some massive Tesco's)...... just renting while I get used to the area.

Offord's website shows some reasonable prices.

Looking for details about TMS, I found 2 of them around Peterborough.... one is a Volvo dealership and I assume that it is the other you are talking about which is in Whittelesy ??

Cheers

I would also recommend OFFORDS, good pricing and a loan car if they can't get out to pick your car up.

Not sure what distance they collect up to but I live in Kings Lynn and that would have been OK.

I've used Offord a couple of times and they've been very good. If you're nice to them, they may even wash your car for you...

Offord is the 'local independent' is you like - whereas I'd say TMS are the 'loca' dealer - although it's nearly an hour's run

Prices correspondingly higher at the dealers of course.

See you've moved to ToyTown, sorry Hampton.

Give us a shout when you're here cos I'm on the north side of PBoro and Tesco's gets our shopping cos it gives the Chim a run and the boot takes loads!

MikeyT

PS. I'm getting mine booked in next week at Offords for a service.

Hmmm Toytown.... that is a good descrption of it !!

I'll keep an eye out for your Chimp at Tesco's then

You recognise mine, I have one of them flip jobs that flick between green/purple/gold <--- I know its a little over the top but it looks better than it sounds.

Think it might be spending sometime at the specialist, sounds like one of the tappets are loose and I now need to get the boot fixed.
