Click on the sponsor link at the top of this forum (Register1) and all your problems will be solved

With any domain registrar you can register your domain, and then point any email being sent to any address at that domain to the email address given to you by your ISP.

Example:

You have the address joebloggs@BTinternet.com

You buy the domain www.mydomain.co.uk

You do NOT need to buy hosting

Once your domain is registered, you will be able to log into your domain via the internet, and set up forwarding so that:

Emails sent to joebloggs@mydomain.co.uk are automatically forwarded to joebloggs@BTinternet.com

All you then need to do in Outlook Express is to change the "reply to" details to show your new email address.

Thanks Meeja

With Register1 you have 2 options

a) Free forwarding.

You can set anything@yourdomain.com to go to something@somewhereelse.com

eg.

bob@yourdomain.com ---> bob@hiswork.com
mum@yourdomain.com ---> mumknowsbest@ntlworld.com
scruffthedog@yourdomain.com ---> fleabag@fleapit.com
*@yourdomain.com ---> you@btinternet.com (* being ANYTHING Else)

You can only use free forwarding to ACCEPT mail, you need to SEND mail using your own ISP / Someone else.

For a monthly equvalent of £2.75 you can have a VDS std 3-4-2 which gives you the ability to have 1Gb of Webmail / POP3 email / SMTP email (to send mail!) / IMAP email / Web Space / MySQL / PHP and so on!

With the VDS you can add as many of your friends and family as you like, and they ALL get their own Webmail / email accounts.

Hope this helps.
