That'll be a V6 for starters. I couldn't rent a GT (V8) for love nor money when I was in Texas recently.

I think that most of the rentals are convertibles - but worth calling to check.

(I am not related to stigproducts by the way! )

That looks like a base model V6 coupe. 4.0 litre engine with 210bhp.

Strange that it says 4-doors. Only 2 door models are available.

It'll be ok, but not shockingly quick, and it will roll around a bit on it's fat tyres. The interior is likely to be non-premium as well.

So generally, it will be an ok drive. But in my opinion, will not give you that full Mustang experience.

Cheers

Actually, on closer inspection it does look like it might have a convertible top. Hard to tell on such a small picture!

I have seen coupe rentals so it's worth checking. Depending on destination, a convertible can fry you and a/c would be preferable (although the vert will obviously have it too but roof up defeats the point)>

Read here - www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=311621&f=105&h=0 - a superb experience and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Oh the noise...

Me again, I'm enjoying the Mustang right now. Upon arrival it turns out that the car reserved for me was not a convertible, despite what the picture was of! I sorted one out though- sadly the weather is a bit cold so not much top down action so far.

It's good fun- massive bass on the stereo (got it turned right down), sounds nice but not quite as quick as I hoped- a bit run off the mill.
