TVR Clutch Pedal Height/Travel
Discussion
I'm making good progress on the 5000M. Next on the list is the clutch pedal.
The physical pedal is higher than the brake pedal and it has a long travel.
The master cylinder looks just like a Triumph Spitfire cast unit with integral reservoir.
The clutch is also really heavy with the 302 clutch on the T5 box so ....
1) Can I reduce the height of the pedal by simply reducing the length of the pushrod as long as there is enough travel to disengage the clutch ?
2) Any idea what the bore size is for a standard 3000M (which I assume this is) ?
3) Can I change the bore size to make the pedal lighter and/or reduce the travel ?
I've looked at a couple of clutch master cylinders with remote reservoirs that seem to fit the bill but as usual I thought I'd "phone a friend" before starting ...
The job is now much easier having bought the removable bonnet hinges in stainless from David Gerald :-)
Thanks
Chris
