I have a 95 4.0L and both the heater cables have snapped.
Does anyone know what they are from or the length? and type of fitting at the heater box end?
Also what is the easiest way to get to the heater box?
I'm not too sure where the cables end up.

many thanks

I'd try a TVR breaker...

Dash off & you will see the top end of the cables commected to the control wheel. Under the dash (lower) in the passenger footwell is the regulator valve for heat, simply connected in line to the pipe from the engine to the matrix. Clipped to the mixer box (even higher up under the dash is the other cable to control flow.

The cables have curly ends and are fixed with threaded screws - I would guess that these have come out (with vibration...) rather than the cables breaking.

Thanks for your help..I know they are broken because i broke them rolleyes
The temp went first and I shortened it,It was ok until i tried to do the same with the directional cable and i broke them both. They now stick out the glove pocket..they work with the help of some pliers.
I'll get replacements and do them at the same time.I wasn't sure where exactly the heater box was.

thanks
