Any of you chaps had any dealings with this lot in St Peters St.?

Kevin Arthur has moved from Treadwise (Thanks Kiltie!) to them and so the 540i must follow.

Yeah I have, in fact my BMW is in there just now having a supercharger fitted. I trustknow Kevin will take the time to do it properly. He always takes the time to explain what he's done etc etc

gw,

Received a guided tour of your mechanicals by Kevin last night!
The s/charger installation looks really tidy. Should release a few more bavarian ponies when its all hooked up.

Looked quite a job to get it all plumbed in tho. I'd be interested to know how it performs, as I know ESS also do one for the V8's if not the same one.

More Power

Behind the bus depot in King Street. However St Peter's Street is only one way so you have to come in from Mounthooly / King's Crescent (where the new fire station is). See link;

I actually meant where in Scotland, since it is a Scotland forum, but I can see from your map your referring to Aberdeen, so now I know!

You've seen more than me then, going to see it tomorrow morning Hopefully the ECU should be back from Norway so we can fire her up.

Yeah estimated power is 370bhp with 440NM... should be quickish Will post up on Pistonheads when complete...

I don't think they do the new Twin Screw type of supercharger for the V8 get, this system from ESS is very new, I have the second kit in the UK, only available on the M54 engine at the moment. It generate max boost (8psi) at just 2000rpm, unlike a Centrifugal which generates boost with revs.

GW,

On top of the near 400bhp, the installation looks really smart.

Here's the link for the 540i s/charger.

www.koperformance.com/BMW/turbo_superchargers/ESS/ess_e39_540i_99-03_supercharger/ess_e39_540i_99-03_supercharger.htm

I knew some yankie types had done this previously, and I had seriously considered doing this before I bought the Gallows On Wheels (TVR). Not to say that I wouldn't still!!

Anyway, another quality job from Kevin and they even 'hoovered' out the interior, so full marks for my 1st visit to AW Autotech.
